Local-First Sandbox
Demo users have all grades kept entirely in local storage on their own device.

Welcome to CGPA IQ ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our web application located at cgpaiq.app.
2. Data We Process
A. Marksheet Images (AI OCR)
When you upload a screenshot or document of your marksheet, the file is sent directly to our backend server where the AI OCR engine reads grades and credits. This image file is processed entirely in temporary server memory and is **immediately deleted** once extraction is completed. We do not store, view, or train models on your marksheet files.
B. Account Data
If you choose to register for an account (via email or third-party OAuth like Google), we store your email address, account settings, and the course/grade history you explicitly choose to save so you can access your dashboard on multiple devices.
C. Local Storage
For guest/demo users, all grade inputs are stored in your browser's local storage. This data never touches our database and remains under your control.
3. Data Security
We implement robust security measures to protect your personal data. All data transfers between the app and the backend API are encrypted via HTTPS. Account information is secured using Firebase Authentication.
4. Cookies and Local Storage
We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. We use browser local storage purely to remember your preferences (such as your theme preferences and demo consumption tokens) to provide a seamless user experience.
5. Your Data Rights
You have the right to access, edit, or delete any personal information associated with your account. You can clear all cached demo data at any time by clearing your browser cache/local storage. Registered users can request complete account deletion from their dashboard settings or by contacting us.
